Shadowcat

This is a pencilled preliminary done on A4 Vellum board.  I usually prefer pencilling my work traditionally, before inking or painting digitally.

Here’s Kitty Pryde, aka Shadowcat in one of her more classic costumes, with a few personal tweaks.  This was the costume she wore when I was introduced to her character back when she was a part of Excalibur.  After learning more about her, I think this was one of the most suited to her skill and powers, being a practical ninja-styled outfit, while being a bit more unique than her current yellow-and-blue that’s just a modified version of the standard X-Men uniform.
