I'm not a professional artist.  Far from it.  I did get a few pieces used for website announcements and such, but for the most part, I actually just write copy (the text that's written for the purpose of being published or displayed, for anyone who's unfamiliar with the term).

At the same time, I also don't think of my art as a hobby, and I feel that anyone seeking to earn through their creative work would feel the same way.  It takes a lot of time and effort to come up with stuff that you hope people will like, and hopefully pay for, so it's something that you wouldn't want other people to reduce to "something you only do for fun".  It's fun, to be sure, but you definitely put a lot more work into it if you want to make a living out of it.

I've been thinking of ways I could earn more through my art.  As most, if not all, of you have noticed, there have been a lot of great artists here on DA signing up with Patreon, offering layered PSD's of their work, videos of their processes, and a lot of other bonuses for people who pay to support their work.

Unfortunately for me, I don't have the means of providing that kind of output.  I'm running on a MacBook that is getting increasingly out of date, including its OS, to the point that even websites are telling me my system is no longer being supported by them.  I can't record my process, and since I have a regular job to attend to, I can't produce enough work to keep up with monthly support in Patreon.

So, for the time being, the best I can offer is still privately commissioned work.  I provide a high-res copy of my work to the commissioner, which is almost twice the size of what I actually upload to DeviantArt.  Though these are usually flattened Jpegs, to make emailing the artwork easier (and because some email services still have limits on maximum file size), I suppose if requested, I can send the original layered file.

I'm also relaxing my stance on sexually themed pieces, though I'm still going to stick to what DA imposes on their Terms, since I want to post my stuff here for people to see.

I've been enjoying doing the smaller portrait-style pieces, so I think I can include those in my commission list as well, if anyone wants a piece like that.

Sorry for rambling quite a bit, I do tend to do that. :3
