And it was a Damn Good Dream...

I just woke up from an amazing dream.

I don't remember much about what happened in it.  Like most dreams, there are only snatches of recall, a lingering memory that fades in the breeze.  

But the details that remain tell me that I was in some kind of convention in an open field.  Night was falling, and I was there on the grass, surrounded by friends I could not recognize, due to spotlights behind them.  We were laughing and joking about some geeky reference, and the mood was infectious; everyone was in such good spirits.

And then the montage started.  There were lights, projections, and MAYBE even some holograms that lit the night sky, images and footage of an assortment of stories, and franchises, all of them familiar but unrecognizable, as apparently my dreams obey copyright law.  But it was engaging.  It was a celebration of all the things that were brought forth by the power of imagination, and the passion of the people who brought those dreams to life, and it was a celebration being shared by people with varying interests, from different fandoms, but all who share the experience in equal measure.

So whatever your fandom, whatever your personal passions, interests, or ANYTHING that gets you up in the day, happy to enjoy and share with others, no matter what time of the day it is wherever you are in the world, let me share the words that I remember saying in that dream, as I laid down on the grass to watch the glowing spectacle in the sky:
