The Shaiteine of Monolith Island

Largest of an island chain in the northern ocean, Monolith Island is the home of a people who call themselves the Shaiteine, or the "Children of The One". The word itself comes from their religion, which professes that, "All things come from The One", and that the Shaiteine, the Children of The One are the equivalent of angels. The modern Shaiteine society is largely matriarchial-- women generally have the higher positions of power, though men do have significant positions in the government and the knighthood. The clan Tyndale is the ruling clan, under the current Lady Ciareen Tyndale.

Monolith Island largely gets its name by the unique nature of its environs. The ruins of massive stone cities mark the landscape, suggesting that the island itself may have appeared to be like a floating city in its golden age. Ruins are largely overgrown from centuries of abandonment, and it is not uncommon to find caves in the mountains that lead to vast catacombs below. Because of this, there are many explorers and treasure hunters wandering the land. Monsters also roam the land, so people are often trained in basic disciplines of swordsmanship and magic.

Larger monsters are often encountered in the deepest caverns, and the Northern territory is infested with Mechan war patrols that are able to absorb and possess most un-enchanted metal weapons and armor. To deal with these, the Cyrotokan Knighthood is especially trained in the disciplines of Metal Command, Break Technique and other forms of combat enchantment.

Thanks! I created a custom brush just to render rain consistently, though the first time I tried it, just a couple of strokes led to Photoshop sticking itself in a "busy" status for an entire night!

An entire night? What exactly was it doing during that time? :noes:

Rendering, in a manner of speaking. The brush was painting rain droplets by the dozen with a single click, and I dragged the thing around for quite a bit. By the time I regained control, the rain ended up being a solid white, so I had to undo the entire thing, shrink and adjust the settings of the brush, and did the rain over to the version shown there.
