Inspired by the elemental fiends of old, the Chaotic Quartet trades powerful blows for a multitude of faster, elementally charged attacks, more than most Schemata. Particularly good for dealing with enemies with elemental weaknesses, staggering them before switching to a more powerful Schema to deliver the finishing blow.
The Chaotic Quartet is matched with the Lich Deathbringer and the Kraken Shield.
This is the full version of the artwork I submitted for the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII contest, that can be found here. This was one of the more ambitious, and difficult pieces I've worked on, using some of my own custom brushes to get the rock texture for the lava rock inspired armor, as well as the scales for the boots.
I've heard it's better to have too much to work with than too little, so despite the contest requirements mandating a 2000 x 550 image, I worked on a much larger image, then cropping and working it around to get the final result.
