And here's the final version!
Took a while to tweak it to the point I was pretty satisfied, but I had to endure getting sick earlier this week, and it was very miserable for a while.
Took out the ink outlines in the previous version of the pic, since it was cutting Hope out of her surroundings more than I would have liked. I kept the sketch textures, and just adjusted the opacity a bit, around 45% of the original.
I also added a texture to the rubble and used ripple filters to create some heat haze. I then copied the entire image, and pasted it as a new layer, then added another ripple filter to that. I reduced the opacity of that layer to less than 10% just so that there's a bit of haze for the image.

I love how the final version looks! the fire effects are nice, and you could get ridd of the purple color (the one that was too bright, I mean), the whole painting looks very nice love the pose as well!
